Smeilgat and young

Description
The elusive Smeilgat are fiercely protective of their families, but otherwise docile and non
confrontational. Though eyeless, the smeilgat can differentiate between light and dark and
deeper shades of colour through rudimentary visual cells spread across the thin membrane
of tissue over the prominent facial bones- useful for a life lived at the edges of the
Nightlands. Though strongly built, smeilgat are designed more for maneuvering through thick
vegetation and hard terrain, than for aggression, but their fierce appearance still draws
poachers and thrill seekers to hunt them for sport.

Diet
Small animals and birds, along with some plant species, but is primarily a scavenger.
